Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Gentlemen:
Enclosed is the latest issue of one recently changed Waterford 3 Emergency Plan implementing Procedure. This submittalis being made in accordance with Appendix E of 10CFR50. This change was reviewed in accordance with 10CFR50.54 requirements and was determined not to decrease the effectiveness of the emergency plan.
Included in this submittal is the following procedure:
1.
EP-002-100 (Revision 26, Change 2), Technical Support Center (TSC)
Activation, Operation and Deactivation - This change does not alter the Emergency Plan. It allows for closure of Safety injection System Sump Isolation Valves SI-602A(B) in the event closure is required to prevent leakage from Emergency Cooling Systems.
This is an interim change and will be removed from this procedure and incorporated into an Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP). EOPs are i
currently undergoing extensive revisions to meet the guidance of CEN-152, J
Combustion Engineering Emergency Procedure Guidelines. Plans are to have this incorporated in the EOP by June 30,1998.
