Dairyland has submitted a Deconunissioning Plan and revised Technical Specifications for SAFSTOR (Reference 1). Since the submittal, the NRC has developed questions concerning the Deconanissioning Plan and proposed Technical Specifications. Several of these questions _were discussed during a telephone conference call (Reference 2). It was agreed that Dairyland would add the definition of " Controlled Area" to the proposed Technical

, Specifications and would submit an estimated whole body dose for the duration l of SAFSTOR.

Pages 2-2, 2-3, and 2-4 of the proposed Technical Specifications are attached to this letter. Page 2-2 contains the requested definition of

" Controlled Area". This addition necessitated the movement of other definitions, such that pages 2-3 and 2-4 also required reorganization.

Please substitute these pages for their counterparts in the original submittal of Reference 1.

The estJmates of whole body dose for the SAFSTOR period will be submitted in a separate letter in the near future.
