Gentlemen:

As indicated in the reference cited above, PSC planned to submit to the NRC a preliminary decommissioning plan for Fort St.

Vrain by March 31, 1989.

In preparing this submittal, PSC has identified issues which require additional evaluation.

PSC now plans to submit the Preliminary Decommissioning Plan in conjunction with or following submission of the Fort St. Vrain Defueling Plan (planned for May 31, 1989).
