Enclosod is an application for an export license received recently by NRC for low-enriched uranium for conversion and fabrication of fuel elements at ABB Atom AB in Sweden. The fabricated fuel elements will be returned to the United States for use as fuel in the WNP-2 reactor.

A letter of assurance is required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation.

Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurance letter will be appreciated.

We have now received IIcense from the Swedish Nuclear Inspectorate to operate up to an assay of 5.0 w/o U-235. The assay in the license "4.05 w/o maximum" should therefore be incresed to "5.05 w/o maximum".

We will have 720 kgU, assay 2.64 w/o U-235 for the US reactor WNP-2. Please apply for an export license. Mrs Me11 horn will contact you regarding transportation of this cylinder.
