Statement of Reculation - Code of. Federal Regulation 10_CFR
- 70. 58 (c) (2) requires a review at least every 12 months of the nuclear material control system.- Such a review includes a review and audit of material control and accounting procedures and practices and an audit of the nuclear material records.
Notwithstanding the above stated code requirement, UNC requests a 29 day extension in reporting results of subject review.
(September 15th instead of August 17, 1989).
The following circumstances have necessitated this request for extension:
1.
SNM Physical Inventory scheduled to commence July 14, 1989.
2.
Fourth of July holiday 3.
UNC anndal shutdown scheduled to commence July 24, 1989 4.
Annual INMM Meeting 5.
The independent contractors performing the review unable to meet the concluding report deadline on August 17, 1989.
This 29 day extension will enable the independent contractors time to complete the review of the nuclear material control system.
Enclosed is a check for $150.00 for administrative fees involved with the processing of this request.
