Dear Mr. Wright:
Thank you for your letter of August 23, 19R8.
Emory 6 Henry has arranged with US Ecology to transport the materials to South Carolina for disposal, and we have obtained a permit from that state to move them (S.C. Radioactive Waste Permit No. 0510-45-88-Y, effective until December 31, 1988). I anticipate that such transportation will occur within 30 days. May we request an extension of these licenses for storage only, pending disposal?

Dear Mr. Wright:
As we have discussed, Emory & Henry College is disposing of the materials presently licensed to us.
In our letter of September 15, 1988, we requested extensions of the licenses for storage only. We would like to list Drs. John Pa11sano and Richard Pfau as supervisors pending dis-posal. No one will use the materials.
I have searched back through our records and uncovered what seems to me an indication that our two Plutonium-Beryllium sources are on loan from what was then the AEC.
I have enclosed copics of the relevant documents.
If, indeed, we have borrowed these from you, I would like to offer to return them.
I appreciate your working with us in this matter.
