The Nuclear Pegulatory Comission (the Commission) has found that: The app (lication for amendment to the McGuire Nuclear Station,the facility A. Unit 2 by the Duke Power Company (the licensee) dated December 7,1985, Act of 1954, as amended (the Act) quirements of the Atomic Energy complies with the standards and re and the Connission's rules and regulations as set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; B. The facility will operate in ccnformity with the application, as anended, the provisions of the Act, and the rules and regulations of the Commission; C. There is reasonable assurance (i) that the activities authorized by this anendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Commission's regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; D. The issuance of this amendment will not be inimical to the common i defense and security or to the health and safety of the public; and E. p '. 2. Accordingly, Facility Operating License No. NPF-17 is hereby amended as follows: A. Delete license condition 2.C.(12) and Table 1. B. Add a new license condition 2.C.(12) to read as follows: 1 On failure of any reactor trip breaker or reactor trip bypass l breaker, either in service or during testing (on either undervoltage or shunt coils), preserve evidence of failure and notify the Commission pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.10. 3.
