Docket No. 50-482: Response to Violation 482/8912-01 Gentlemen:
Attached is Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's (WCNOC) response to violation 482/8912-01 which was documented in Reference 1.
Violation 482/8912-01 involved an inability to accurately assess intrusion alarms.
In Reference 2, WCNOC requested an extension to the due date for this response so that a meeting could be held to discuss this subject.
On April 28, 1989, a meeting was held between WCNOC personnel and NRC Region IV personnel to discuss the circumstances surrounding this violation and also to discuss overall performance of the closed circuit television system at Wolf Creek.
In a subsequent conversation with NRC Region IV personnel, it was agreed that this violation response would be submitted by 1:ay 19,1989.
The attachment contains Safeguards Information in accordance with

10 CFR 73.21 and therefore should be withheld from public disclosure.
This letter, when separated from the attachment, does not contain Safeguards Information and should be handled as decontrolled.
