. GENERIC IMPLICATION OF BROWNS FERRY FIRE ON NOVEMBER 2, 1987.
Enclosed.is my. review of an operating event which involved a fire inside the drywell of Browns Ferry Unit 2 on November 2,'1987. Since the burn rate in this event.was more rapid than expected, this might have.a generic impact on current. fire protection regulations.
Results of the review indicate that the causes of this event are plant unique. The current fire protection' regulations are adequate and'need not be modified due to this event.
No further AEOD review or AE0D action is recomended.
