JOINT STIPULATION Counsel for Alabama Power Company anc the NRC staff stipulate that discovery in the captioned matter shall comunce on Monday, July 17, 1989, and shall be completed on or before Friday, October 27, 1989. The parties will attempt to agree on a schedule for the future conduct of the proceeding and reflect such agreement in a stipulation to be filed with the Board on or before Friday, November 3, 1989. The Parties will thereafter file periodic status reports with the Board in order to apprise the Board of progress in the case.

On the basis of the conference call among the Board Chairman and Counsel for the Parties on Friday, July 14., 1989, the Parties request confirmation that the prehearing conference scheduled for Friday, Juiy 21, 1989 in Birmingham, Alabama is cancelled.
