REMOVING RETS PROCEDURAL DETAILS TO ODCM AND PLACING THE RETS PROGRAMMATIC CONTROLS IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Reference:
Generic Letter 89-01, dated January 31,-1989 Union EAectric Company herewith transmits an application for Amendment to Facility I
Operating License No. NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant.
In accordance with the guidance given in the referenced Generic Letter, this amendment request implements changes concerning
-the radiological and environmental Technical Specifications (TS).
The changes simplify the
']
TS, while maintaining the regulatory requirements, and are consistent with the Commission's goals for Technical Specification Improvements.
The proposed changes relocate the existing procedural details of the current Radiological Effluent. Technical Specifications (RETS) to the c
Offsite Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM); and procedural details for solid radioactive wastes to the. Process Control Program (PCP).
In all cases the programmatic controls are incorporated into the Administrative Controls section of the Technien1 Specifications.
An additional change deletes an inappropriate
-footnote reference to Callaway as a multiple unit station.

i The Callaway On-site Plant Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment request.
The revisions to the ODCM and the PCP will be implemented upon NRC approval of the proposed Technical Specification changes.
