CONFIRMATION OF ACTION LETTER This is to confirm the conversation between you and Dr. Dale Powers on March 24, 1989.
Based on our conversation, it is my understanding that the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is taking the following action:
Keeping the Campbell Pacific Nuclear moisture density gauge, Model 503, Serial Number H380G2370, in locked storage.in your Gamerco, New Mexico, facility until it can be transferred to _an a'Jthorized recipient. A licensed recipient will be selected by the BIA by March.31.
You will notify NRC of that licensee, and if that licensee is not authorized to possess this specific model of gauge, NRC will provide priority review of an amendment request from that licensee.
Issuance of this Confirmation of Action Letter does not preclude the issuance of an order formalizing the-above commitments.
If your understanding differs from that set forth above, please call Dr. Dale A. Powers at (817) 860-8195 immediately.
