Dear Sir or Madam,

This let ter is a request f or NRC inf ormation under the Freedom of Information Act as amended ( 5 U.S.C. 552). I would like to request inf ormation regarding nuclear f acilities at, and NRC Ifeenses to, the Army Mat erial s Test ine Laboratory in Vatertown, Massachusetts. Prior to 1987, the facility was called the Army Materials and Mechanics Research Center. The f acility currently has three NRC licenses:

LN 20-01010-04 (Docket 030-C-593); LN SUB-238 (Docket 040-02253); and SNM-244 (Docket 070-00263). The f acility maintains a deactivated If the reactor, either when it was in operation 5bl/'/%(nclear 1itween 1960 and 1970) or subsequently was on another docket, plea se reactor.

A. From the inspection histories of the dockets, all inf or?ation related to any spill of nuclear material and all information related to any violation of NRC regulations.

B. The licenses and any documents incorporated by reference into the docket clarif virc the conditions of the licenses.

C. Any des cription cf the equipment and f acilities to te used in the permit ted act ivit les. Of particular interest is any information related to activities and f acilities licensed under LN SUB-238 regarding the burning of depleted Uranium.

D.
