Any released portions of the documents for which oniv part of the record is being withheld are being made available for pubhc inspection and Copying in the NRC Pubhc Document Room, 2120 L Street. N.W.. Washmgton, DC,in a folder under this FOIA number and requester name COMMENTS For your information, the NRC staff noted that the NRC requests the U. S. Department of the Treasury (DOT) to issue checks for the NRC. Therefore any existing list of outstanding NRC s
checks would be prepared and maintained by D0T rather than NRC. The staff noted there are no " unpaid" checks. The staff is uncertain about your reference to warrants. After the President signs an appropriations bill passed by Congress for the NRC a warrant is issued for the amount of the appropriations; when D0T issues a check for the NRC the amount of the check is then charged against the warrant.
