Dear Mr. Congel:
Enclosed is a copy of the exercise report of the October 25,
- 1988, exercise of offsite radiological emergency preparedness plans site-specific to the Beaver Valley Power Station.
This was
'a full-participation unannounced exercise with the Commonwealth:
of-Pennsylvania,
- Beaver, Allegheny,
- Butler, Lawrence, and Washington Counties, and'27 municipalities; and the State of West Virginia, and Hancock County.
This exercise report was prepared-by, the Region III office staff of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
There' were no deficiencies identified as a
result of this exercise; however, there were several areas requiring corrective actions.
A schedule for their correction is included in the 0
report.
. Based on the results of this exercise, the offsite
. radiological emergency preparedness of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the State of West Virginia, and affected' local jurisdictions remain adequate to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of an accident at the Beaver Valley Power Station.
