DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 NPSI SWAY STRUTS SDAR: CP-88-40 (INTERIM REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On January 3,1989, TV Electric notified the NRC via interim report logged TXX-88856 of a potentially reportable deficiency involving NPS Industries, Inc. (NPSI) sway strut design.
The last report submitted on this issue was TXX-89091, dated February 24, 1989. The purpose of this interim report'is to update the status of this issue.
TV Electric has received the NPSI report summarizing the evaluations performed' by;NPSI.
The CPSES Engineering review of this report and the assessment of-the deportability of this issue in ongoing. The final report on the issue will-be submitted prior to fuel load for Unit 1.
