This' Radial Peaking Factor Limit Report is provided in accordance with paragraph 6.9.1.14 of the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical Specifications.

The F-limits for RATED THERMAL POWER within specific core planes for D:

xy -

Cycle 8 shall be:

1. F 5 1.71 for all core planes containing D-BANK xy
2. For unrodded core planes F-s'1.70 from 1.8 ft. elevation to 2.05 ft, elevation xy F

s 1.74 above 2.05 ft. elevation to 3.25 ft. elevation F

s 1.72 above 3.25 ft. elevation to 3.65 ft. elevation F

5 1.7135 above 3.65 ft. elevation to 3.85 ft. elevation xy F

5 1.71 above 3.85 ft. elevation to 5.85 ft. elevation F

< 1.77 above 5.85 ft. elevation to 9.65 ft. elevation.

xy -

Fg51.71above'9.65ft, elevation to 10.2 ft. elevation xy(z) limits were used to confirm that the heat flux hot channel These F

. factor F (z) will be limited to-the Technical Specification values of:

9 F (z) 5 [2.40] [K(z)] for P > 0.5 and, q

p F (z) 5 [4.80] [K(z)) for P $ 0.5 q

assuming the most limiting axial power distribution expected to result from the insertion and removal of control banks C and D during operation, including the accompanying variations in the axial xenon and power distribution as described in the " Power Distribution Control and Load Following Procedures", WCAP-8403, September, 1974. Therefore, these F

limits provide assurance that the initial conditions assumed in the xy LOCA analyses are met, along with the ECCS acceptance criteria of
