Inspection No. 70-687/89-03 This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. M. Austin of this office on August 9-11, 198E. at the Sterling Forest Research Center, for the purpose of reviewing the icensed program at your facility, and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Austin with you and others of your staff at the conclusion of the insmection. Areas examined during this inspection are described in the Nic Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with persor.nei, and observations by the inspector.
No violations were observed. No reply to this letter is required.
