Enclosed please find the additional information requested for the following Type B package renewals:
-Model' Gammatron 20,20A C.O.C 9126 50,50A Model Gammatron 100,100A C.O.C' 9127 200,200A Model C-8' C.O.C 9128 Amersham _is not. manufacturing any of these packages and has no
-plansito manufacture them in the future.
As a result all drawing and-initial manufacturing'information is identical to that-information provided by Gamma Industries in their application dated;May 1978, except for the revised drawings on the' attached list.
These drawings were updated by Gamma Industries prior to the. acquisition.

The marking and identification is-as described on these drawings.
Since we are not manufacturing these packages there-will be no acceptance tests performed on a finished product.'.The' routine determinations prior'to shipment will_be performed in accordance with 10 CFR 71.87.
'I have. revised the shipping instructions to reflect these instructions for the customer (Page 31 ).
I have also revised the maintenance section to remove the word
" recommend" and specify-that maintenance must be conducted in
-accordance with 10 CFR 34.28 (b) every 3 months.
For any package that we ship from our facility we will assure that it has all'the necessary labeling.
We will also attach the required security seal through' holes drilled in the brass shipping plug for any shipment that Amersham makes.

When we receive a device that is customer property we will'make the necessary modification to install a security seal.
The shipping instructions do state the requirement for a security seal, therefore a customer should notify us if they cannot comply with this requirement.
We can then instruct them on the proper way to install a security seal.
I trust this answers all the concerns raised in your letter dated 28 April 1989.
I would like to reemphasize that we are not manufacturing these devices and are renewing the Type B Certificate to facilitate shipping by our customers.
