i SPECIAL TEST 2.-106 Special Test No.-1-106 was completed on June 29, 1989..The purpose of this test will verify that the new RTD and Honeywell recorder give proper indication in the control room of river temperature.
1.
The probability of an occurrence or the consequence of an accident, or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not increased because changing from a thermistor to RTD and YEW to Honeywell recorder will not decrease the reliability of the system.
l 2.
The possibility for an accident or malfunction of a different type
]
than any previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report j
is not created because the new recorder will be calibrated with the RTD to indicate proper river temperature.
3.
The margin of safety, as defined in the basis for any Technical Speci-fdcation, is not reduced because the reliability of using a different racorder or temperature measuring device is unchanged.

SPECIAL TEST 1-127 Special Test No. 1-127 was completed on June 14, 1989. The purpose of' this special operational test will collect data necessary to fix problems previously identified in the Service Water Radiation Monitor System.
'A safety evaluation was not required for this special test since it does.
not constitute-a change to a procedure as described in the FSAR, nor does it change Technical Specifications.

4 Safety Evaluation #89-250 Software Change Involving GSEP The change to these programs provide capabilities to print at locations
~
other than the TSC, EOF and CCC. No other program changes were made.
1.-
The! probability of an occurrence or the consequence of an accident,
.or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not increased because this will expand capabilities of emergency response facilities.
2.
The possibility for an accident.or malfunction of a different type than any previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not created because the changes will not alter any calculations used in GSEP. Only expanded printing capabilities were provided.
3.
The margin of safety, as defined in the basis'for any Technical Specification, is not reduced because the station GSEP programs are not discussed in the Tech Spec basis.

.,.4 4.o Safety Evaluation //89-262 M-4-1/2-89-05 Crib House Dewatering Sump Modification Addition of a flange with an. isolation valve and a check. valve to-the discharge' piping of one of the crib house dewatering sump pumps, so a temporary-pump can be attached during maintenance activities.
1.
The probability of an occurrence or the consequence of an accident, or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not increased because the addition of a flange on the discharge of the crib house sump does not change the design function or impact any equipment evaluated in the FSAR.
2.
The possibility for an accident or malfunction of a different type than any previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not created because the addition of-a flange on the discharge of the crib house sump does not change the design function or impact equipment evaluated in the FSAR, thus not impacting the possibility.
of an accident or malfunction evaluated in the FSAR.
3.
The margin of safety, as defined in the basis for any Technical j
Specifications, is not reduced because the addition of a flange on LSe discharge of the crib house dewatering sump does not_ change the l
design function or impact equipment in Technical Specifications, J
thus net affecting the margin of safety.

Procedure Change QOA 010-5 The changes include adding a discussion item to not operate electromatic u
valves within 10 seconds of when it' closed and to add a caution that the inside of the box for operating the valves locally has energized parts.
1.
The probability of'an occurrence or the consequence of an accident, or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not increased because the changes do not affect the performance of the procedure. The changes incorporate plant operating techniques and a personnel safety caution.
2.
The possibility for an accident or malfunction of a different type than any previously evaluated in the Final Safety Analysis Report is not created because the changes do not change the performance of the procedure. No accidents or malfunctions are created by adding these steps.
- 3. -The margin of safety, as defined in the basis for any Technical Specification, is not reduced because the changes do not affect anything metioned in the Tech Specs.
