Dear Sir:
In Reference 1. Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo) provided a response to Generic Letter 88-01, "NRC Position on IGSCC in 8WR Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping".
In Reference 2, you requested that PECo provide additional information in order f or the NRC staff to complete its review. The extensive efforts needed to gather this. additional information and to provide it in the tabular format specified were discussed with Messrs..R. E. Martin and T. K. McClellan of the staff.

Indications.are that the original submittal may be of sufficient quality to allow i-PECo to not respond to the RAI, but'to wait for the staff to review the origira1 i
submittal and identify any open items. PECo would then provide a resgonse to the L
