Contract NRC-02-88-004 Modification 2 Page 2 of 4 This modification is issued to:
o Revise the statement of work to include additional areas of research related to the study on training and experience criteria for personnel involved in the medical use of byproduct material.
o Add funds in the amount of $15,846.00.
o Increase the total estimated amount of the contract by $15,846.00.
o Revise the date the draft final technical report is required.
o Revise the travel ceiling amount.
Work shall be performed in accordance with SC&A Inc.'s proposal dated April 24, 1989, which is incorporated herein by this reference.
Accordingly, the contract is hereby modified as f'ollows:

Additior a1 funds in the amount of $15,846.00 are added which increases the totel amount obligated by the Government for full performance under the contract from 5141,748.00 to $157,594.00.
The total estimated amount of the contract is increased by $15,846.00, from $141,748.00 to $157,594.00.
The total estimated reimbursable costs are increased by $14,538.00, from $130,044.00 to $144,582.00 and the fixed fee is increased byM fromM to M

Section C, Description / Specifications / Work Statement, Subsection l
C.1.3, Scope.of Work, the first paragraph is revised to read as follows:
"C.I.3 Scope of Work The contractor shall search literature and conduct interviews with hospital, free standing clinic, and nuclear pharmacy personnel, in Agreement and Non-Agreement States, collect, analyze, identify, and summarize information and prepare a report for Items C.I.3.1 - C.1.3.8, below.
The report shall include verbal data, as well as charts, as deemed necessary, to provide NRC with a complete understanding of the collected information.
Specifically, the contractor shall provide NRC with a report that includes the following:"

Section C, Description / Specification / Work Statement, Subsection C.1,
-Statement of Work, Subsection C.1.3, Scopt of Work, Section C.1.3.1, is revised to add the three following new tasks:
"C.I.3.6 Visit four to six freestanding nuclear pharmacies (including both large and small facilities), and collect information one-the technical staff functions, staffing requirements, and training and experience of their staff, and on the available training programs for these personnel.
C.1.3.7 Identify'the availability of physicians and allied health personnel (at the sites visited for this study) to fill positions related to medical use of radionuclides at hospitals, clinics, and radiopharmacies. Also, discuss the employment factors related to availability of personnel.
The data collected shall be organized by profession, job title or job function, and shall reflect the important O

i variables actually affecting the availability of personnel i
in each job category..
Examples of variables which may be important are: department size, geographical location; education desired; experience desired; certification desired; duties of the position; assistance available; salary range and benefits available; opportunities for education available; opportunities for advancement; etc.
C.I.3.8 Identify the available training programs for physicists, dosimetrists, technologists, and radiopharmacists (as outlined in paragraph C.I.3.1), and describe and characterize these training programs.
Identify their accreditation, the standards underlying their accreditation, and their normal capacity and actual output of successfuT students. Discuss the relationship between the number, capacity and success of these program, and the availability of trained staff to fill positions at hospitals, clinics, and radiopharmacies.
The data shall reflect _recent trends in the combined output of training programs in each job category, and trends in related variables, and shall be analyzed relative to the data on staff availability and employment factors, collected for the preceding task."

Section F.7, Reportina Reautrements, Subsection, F.7.1, Draf ts and final Technical Letter Report, is revised to allow the contractor 10-1/2 months to provide the draft report. Therefore, first paragraph of Subsection F.7.1, Drafts and Final Technical Letter Report, is revised to read as follows:
"F.7.1 Drafts and Final Technical Letter Report Within 10-1/2 months of contract award, the contractor shall provide three copies of the draft report, with thoroughly documented findings and problem areas associated with the survey performed in accordance with items C.I.3 above (Scope of Work)."

Section G, Contract Administration Data, Subsection G.3, Travel Reimbursement, paragraph a is revised to read as follows:
"G.3 Travel Reimbursement Total expenditure for domestic travel shall not exceed a.
