Dear Mr. Wright:

SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SCM - DISPOSAL OF MISCELLANEOUS WASTES SQN generates small quantities of miscellaneous wastes that are not radioactive, nor do they meet the definition of a hazardous waste. Allowance for the discharge of these wastes has not been made in the existing facility NPDES permit. TVA requests your concurrence to allow the discharge of the wastes identified in the enclosure into the Moccasin Bend Sewage Treatment Plant via the sewer line that was recently installed between SON and Soddy-Daisy. The estimated quantities and generation frequencies for these wastes arm also given in the enclosure.

We greatly appreciate your consideration in this matter. If you have questions or comments regarding this request please call Drew Miller at 751-8123 in Chattanooga.

Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY L. 8&&
