DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 SPECIAL REPORT 89-04 NUMBER OF TUBES PLUGGED DURING THIRD STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSERVICE INSPECTION This Special Report is being submitted in accordance with Technical Specification (T/S) 4.4.5.5.a which states:
"Within 15 days following the completion of each inservice inspection of steam generator tubes, the number of tubes plugged in each steam generator shall be reported to the Commission in a Special Report pursuant to Specification 6.9.2."
The Second Steam Generator (S/G) Inservice Inspection was completed for S/G's 'B' and 'C' on 4/24/89 to meet the surveillance requirements of T/S 3/4.4.5, " Steam Generators". The plant was in Mode 6 -
Refueling, with the core off loaded for the planned Refuel III outage.
Thirteen tubes were plugged as a result of the inspection and are identified below:
