DPR-53 m DPR-69 7 .As a result of the inspection conducted on July 17-21, 1989 and in accordance with the " General' Statement of Policy and Procedure for. NRC E.forcement i: L . Actions," 10. CFR Part 2, Appendix C (Enforcement Policy) (1989), the' following deviation was; identified: l -- The Calvert Cliffs FSAR, Section 8.4.1.2 (page 8-17 Rev. 6), states the-fo % ng:- L " Quarterly samples will be composited from incoming fuel' oil and analyzed for API gravity, specific gravity, flash point, sulfur, ash, Btu per gallon, and viscosity. Samples are'obtained from the - fuel cil storage tanks every 3 months and analyzed for-oxii*iM on/ deterioration products," Contrary to the above,'as of July 21, 1989 there was no~ documented ' ~ -evidence to show that quarterly samples were'obtained and analvzed as
- stated in the FSAR Section.
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company is'hereby requested to submit to this offict'within' thirty days of the-date of the letter which transmitted this Notice, a written statement or explanation >in reply, including: (1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further deviations;.and (3) the date when full compliance will-be achieved.
