Enclosed for your information are the final survey reports prepared by Oak RidgeAssociatedUniversities(0RAU). Volume 1 contains the results from the restricted area and Volume 2 from the unrestricted area. Although these are the final reports, we are still concerned about the high readings obtained from the outfall area and Grid B-138 in the la The sample results provided by Mr. K. Helgeson (enclosure 2) goon area., indicate significant contamination around the sluice joint. The ORAU report at page 115 of Volume 1 indicates that the Cs-137 concentration in Grid B-138 is 86 pCi/g, significantly above the guideline level of 10 pCi/g; the uranium concentration for this grid is below the guidelines. This contaminated soil must be removed before the site can be released for unrestricted use and the license terminated. Upon decommissioning of these areas, soil analysis results should be provided to this office. Then after receipt of a completed form NRC-314 (enclosure 3), we can complete act:ans necessary to terminate License No. SNM-777.
