AUXILIARY FEEDWATER SYSTEM l

Attention:

George Knighton As a result of the Auxiliary Feedwater System overpressurization event of January 31, 1989, the District embarked on a detailed evaluation and inspection of the system to determine acceptability for operation.

This detailed evaluation showed that the January l

31, 1989 event was withi~n the design basis for the system.

l Through inspection and analysis the system has been determined to be acceptable for service.

The engineering evaluation of the system is attached.

The reports and calculations referenced in the evaluation are I

available for inspection at Rancho Seco.
