DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 TURBINE DRIVEN AUXILIARY FEEDWATER PUMP OVERSPEED TRIP SDAR: CP-89-016 '. (INTERIM REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On June.7, 1989..TU Electric verbally notified the NRC of a deficiency involving.the Turbine Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump.
Specifically, the.
setpoint tolerance on the Turbine Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump mechanical overspeed. trip' device may result in overpressurization of the pump casing.
'This_is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions'of 10CFR50.55(e).
Further evaluation is required to establish the safety significance of this deficiency. The next report on this is' sue for Units 1 and 2 will be issued prior to Unit I fuel load.
