Dear Mr. Bergeron:
I have received th'e March monthly progress report dated April 27, 1989, for contract no. 50-19-03-02 FIN B2485, Hydrogeologic Performance Assessment for LLW Sites.. Based on sty review of the March monthly report, progress to date is satisfactory.
However, as a reminder, please. provide future monthly reports on or before the 15th' of the month.
Please find enclosed a copy of the NRC staff's written comments on the Sheffield
. Performance Assessment Report, along with a mark-up copy of the text of the report. ' As you recall, you and I have already discussed the majority of these comments during sty visit to PNL on April 25-26, 1989.
If you have any questions-concerning the enclosed information or would like to discuss any of the comments in more detail, please contact me.
In addition to the NRC staff comments on the Sheffield report, and the mark-up copy, please find enclosed copies of the Summary Meeting Notes that I prepared for our.two meetings held in April. 'Please alert me if there are discrepancies between your meeting notes and mine.
The action taken by this letter is considered to be within the scope of the currentcontract(50-19-03-02).
