20555 Gentlemen:
Subject:
Hope Creek Generating Station Docket No. 50-354 Request for Amendment LCR 89-03 On February 2, 1989 Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) submitted a Request for Amendment to Facility Operating License NPF-57 for Hope Creek Generating Station (HCGS). This request revises, by addition of a footnote, Technical Specification Surveillance Requirement 4.8.1.1.2.h to increase the 18 month plus 25%
surveillance interval for the A and D Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs), overdue on August 19 and 27, 1989 respectively, until October 15, 1989.
The BNE staff has reviewed this change request and has no comment at this time. However, the staff recommends that the extension of the above surveillance interval should be considered a one time exemption only.
If you have any questions, please contact suren Singh at (609) 987-2051.
Sincerely, MY f O.S (^
