Gentlemen:
The NRC issued the SALP 7 Report for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS) on April 25, 1989. This report covers the period of January 1, 1988, through February 28, 1989. On May 30, 1989, the NRC presented this report to Toledo Edison in a public meeting held at the Davis-Besse site.
Toledo Edison Company has reviewed the SALP 7 Report and discussed the specifics of the SALP ratings in a management meeting held at the NRC Region III offices in early Hay. Toledo Edison has no further comments to provide.
The Company believes the SALP 7 report reflects continued improvement in performance at Davis-Besse. Ongoing efforts vill assure that the improving trend continues.
