Any released portions of the documents for which only part of the record is being withheld are being made available Vor pubhc inspection and Copying in the NRC Pubhc Document Room, 2120 L Street, N.W., Washengton, DC.m a folder under this FOIA number and requester name COMMENTS The Office of the Inspector General (OIG), U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, was established on April 17, 1989, by legislation amending the Inspector General Act of 1978. As part of that legislation, the office is now required to submit semi-annual reports to Congress on OIG activities. However, 0IG's predecessor office, the Office of Inspector and Auditor (01A), was not required to report to Congress on its activities and there are no semi-annual reports covering the time before April 17, 1989. The first semi-annual report to Congress will cover the six month period beginning April 17, 1989.
