REOUEST FOR EXPORT LICENSE

Dear Mr. Moore:

We hereby request an XCOM License to export components described in 10CFR Part 110 8(a) (5) through 8 (a) (9) in specific, forty (40) zircoloy tubes, each tube being 147" in length with-a total weight for all tubes of 69.61 lbs.

These tubes are to be exported to the country of Norway.

The Ultimate Consignee in Foreign Country OECD Halden Reactor Project Os Alle 13 N-1751 Halden, Norway (Attention:

Dr. C. Vitanza)

There will be no intermediate consignes.

The shipment of tubes to the Halden Reactor is for experimental testing in the Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) corrosion loop.

Some of the tubes will be loaded with nuclear fuel in Norway and placed in the reactor, other tubes will be tested without nuclear fuel loading.

All tubes are expected to be consumed, destroyed or buried in Moraay with none of the tubes returning to the USA.

It would be appreciated if the license could be issued for one year; the dollar value would be $1,983.88 in total.

These tubes are scheduled for shipment on or about May 25, 1989 from:
