Dear Chairman Havel:
Thank you for your letter of June 27, 1989... Chairman.Zech retired from the NRC on June-30,'and I have been appointed by' the President to succeed him.
I I welcome your invitation.for a technical delegation-from the L
NRC to visit Czechoslovakia this fall.
The Commission accepts the two topics listed in your letter for' discussion and proposes that the visit take place on October 9-13, 1989.
During this period, we suggest that the delegation hold technical discussions at the CAEC and visit some nuclear sites outside Prague.
1 Commissioner Kenneth C. Rogers will lead the delegation, which would consist of about 5 people.

acceptable to you, our International Programs. staff will follow up and assist with the details for preparing the visit.
