Notification of Change in Operator or Senior Operator Status
Dear Sir:
Pursuant to 10CFR50.74, this is to inform you of the following change in status of one Boston Edison Company licensed operator.
Joseph Healy, OP-10428, has been permanently reassigned within Boston Edison Company as of May 4, 1989. The position which Mr. Healy was assigned does not require license certification. Tterefore, he will no longer participate in our licensed operator requalification training program and his license will not be renewed.
10CFR50.74 requires notification within 30 days of permanent reassignment from the position for which the licensee has certified the need for a licensed operator or senior operator under 10CFR55.31(a)(3). The notification for Mr.
Healy was not submitted within this time frame due to a misunderstanding in processing and disseminating the information regarding this change.
To preclude recurrence, Boston Edison Company will develop a Work Instruction that will provide guidance for the reporting requirements of 10CFR50.74.
As discussed during the June 19, 1989, Enforcement Conference, this notification letter is being submitted within 1-2 weeks following the conference date.
