Dear Mr. Colvin:
At a May 10. 1989 meeting between senior NRC and NUMARC managers who oversee the Technical Specifications Improvement Program, Mr. Murry Edelman requested written confirmation of the NRC policy on fees for the review of the new Standard Technical Specifications (STS) and the Technical Specifications for the lead plants. 'The Controller, NRC has confirmed that the resources used for these reviews will be included in the base for annual fees collected under 10 CFR 171.
- As such, no fees under 10 CFR 170 will be assessed for these activities.
