Dear Mr. Matthews:
We have completed our review of the Radiological and Engineering Assessment' dated May 15, 1989, for the commercial vicinity property RT-018 (Bonneville Transloaders) located at Riverton, Wyoming.
Based on our review of the subject REA and associated correspondence, the Criterion "c" of 40 CFR 192.21 and the NRC's " Guidelines for Justifying the Use of Supplemental Standards," in 40 CFR Part 192, dated-July 3, 1986, DOE satisfied the criteria deemed necessary to apply supplemental standards.
Therefore, we concur with the proposed remedial action of no removal of
'l contamiriated soils alongside of and under the railroad tracks, for the property designated as RT-018.
