StJBJECT: Certification of a Systems Approach to Training Program

REFERENCE:

Generic Letter 87-07 Dated March 19, 1987 From Denton to All' Facility Licensees

Dear Sir:

In accordance with the guidance provided in Generic Letter 87-07, this letter certifies that the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station utilizes a systems approach to training for initial and requalification training programs for licensed operators and that the licensed operator training programs were accredited by the National Nuclear Accrediting Board on November 19, 1986.

We intend to implement the option of substituting accredited and systems approach to training based programs for initial and requalification training programs previously approved by the NRC, in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR55.31(a) and 10CFR55.59(c).

Please note that the initial and requalification training programs will be revised and modified based on the needs identified as Fort St. Vrain moves past the operations phase and into defueling and decommissioning, so?  !
