has granted the request of Arkansas Power and Light Company (the I
licensee) to withdrew its December 4, 1987 applications _for proposed amendments to facility OEerating License Nos. DPR-51:and NPF-5 for the-ArkansasNuclearOne,UnitNos.l'and2(ANO-1&2),locatedinPope.
County, Arkansas.
The proposed amendments would have ' revised the ANO-1&2 Technical Specifications to decrease the review requirements of the Plant Safety Comittee.
The Comission has previously issued a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Ar.endraent published in the FEDERAL REGISTER on January 12, 1988 (53 FR 767). However, by letter dated August 3, 1989, the' licensee withdrew the proposed change.
