Post-Defueling Monitored Storage Safety Analysis Report, Amendment 4 Attached is Amendment 4 to the Post-Defueling Monitored Storage (PDMS) Safety Analysis Report (SAR). This amendment consists of a compilation of accumulated editorial changes (e.g., typographical errors, minor text errors) and revisions identified during a recent periodic review of the PDMS SAR.
The recent review identified the need for several minor technical revisions to
]
update the section dealing with the disposal of the accident-generated water; i
acknowledge two (2) exceptions to the original missile protection design criteria for the Auxiliary Building; add material melted from baffle plates, core former, and incore assemblies to the core material inventory table (Table 4.1-1); delete the " mothballed" category of systems (Section 6.4) and reclassify the polar crane as a deactivated system. In addition, the figures to be incorporated in Chapter 7, which were previously identified as "to be provided later," have been included in this amendment.
Finally, one (1) page from Amendment 3 that contained an incorrect issue date has been corrected and included in this package.
