The licensee should describe their program of management controls that will be used to assure their management that the equipment classification information handling system was properly prepared and validated, is properly maintained, and is being used as intended.

LASALLE RESEQNSI The LaSalle County Station Q-List is controlled as a series of design drawings. The BWR System Design Section of the Nuclear Engineering Department is responsible for the preparation, validation, and maintenance of the LaSalle Q-List. This task is controlled by the following CECO Procedures:

A. Quality Assurance Procedures Q.P. 2-S3 " Classification of Structures, System and Components" Q.P. 3-3 " Classification of Systems, Components, Parts and Material" Q.P. 3-51 " Design Control for Operations - Plant Modification" B. Engineering Procedure Q.12.3 " Control and Maintenance of the Q-List for LaSalle County Station" Engineering Procedure Q.12.3 provides detailed direction to the engineer for all system changes which involve the addition, deletion, non-identical replacement or relocation of safety-related components associated with safety-related systems to ensure that the Q-List is complete, technically correct, and reflects the as-build configuration of the station.

For LaSalle County Station, the BWR Systems Design Superintendent has delegated responsibility for the control and maintenance of the Q-List to Sargent and Lundy.

The BHR Systems Design Superintendent assures that the necessary changes to the Q-List are forwarded to S&L when modifications are designed by Architect Engineers other than S&L.

Various administrative controls are employed to ensure that the Q-List is used as intended. Corporate CECO Quality Assurance, and station specific procedures require that responsible personnel use the Q-List as a source document in determining the classification of work activities and components involved in such activities as described in response to Item 2.2.1.3.
