Gentlemen:

On November 14, 1988, TV Electric verbally notified your Mr. R. F. Warnick of a deficiency involving ASCO solenoid valve coil leads.

In our written report on this issue, logged TXX-88838 and submitted December 14, 1988, TU Electric conservatively classified this issue as reportable under.the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). The last letter submitted on this issue was TXX-89143, dated March 15, 1989. Our evaluation to determine the extent of the deficiency is continuing and we will submit our final report prior to Unit 1 fuel load.
