Attached is' the final report of the Procurement Engineering Assessment Plan (PEAP). The PEAP was established in December 1987 to evaluate past and i
present material control practices and to recommend improvements. The PEAP l
6 Interim Report, dated March 1, 1988, concluded that there was a reasonable level of confidence that the safety function of installed equipment had not been adversely impacted by past procurement practices. The PEAP Final Report i
confirms this conclusion, The procurement practices currently implemented at Rancho Seco reflect the lessons learned from the PEAP and thus provide assurance that future procurement activities will support the objective of safe plant operation.
