PROCUREMENT ENGINEERING ASSESSMENT PLAN FINAL REPORT

Attached is' the final report of the Procurement Engineering Assessment Plan (PEAP). The PEAP was established in December 1987 to evaluate past and i present material control practices and to recommend improvements. The PEAP 6 l

Interim Report, dated March 1, 1988, concluded that there was a reasonable level of confidence that the safety function of installed equipment had not been adversely impacted by past procurement practices. The PEAP Final Report confirms this conclusion, i The procurement practices currently implemented at Rancho Seco reflect the lessons learned from the PEAP and thus provide assurance that future '

procurement activities will support the objective of safe plant operation.
