Rouse PRESS INQUIRY AS TO STATUS OF HEARING REQUEST ON ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL g-Myron Levin, a reporter from the Los Angeles Times, called requesting information on the status of. the hearing requests for the Rockwell license renewal. 'On July 28 and August 1, I informed the reporter that the request had not'yet' been granted and that our Office of-General Counsel was reviewing the request. :The reporter inquired as to how long the review would take; I informed him I did not-know, but I thought a couple of weeks. The reporter plans to call every few days,-as he wants to know the day a decision is made.
.He also inquired as to how he could obtain a copy of the letters which requested l
the hearing.
I told him that they would be placed in the PDR and gave him the.
PDR phone number and the docket number for Rockwell.-
It appears that OGC has not yet placed the documents in the PDR. In s
conversations with J.'Rutberg, 0GC, he indicated the letters should be placed in the PDR and he will~ check to see what needs to be done to place them there.
On' August 1,1969, I' received a call from K. Abraham, Region V Public Affcirs, regarding the' hearing request-status. The Region V Office has also received similar press inquiries.
