WPDES PERMIT WI0000957-4 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT This-is to advise the Department that the daily maximum total residual chlorine effluent limitation was exceeded at Point Beach Nuclear Plant. The total residual chlorine concentration in the-cooling water discharge (sample point 001) was'O.28 mg/l on Ju~iy 18, 1989.

We have commenced an investigation into this incident. When the investigation is completed, a letter will be sent to the Department outlining the results of the investigation and corrective action, if any, which has been, or will be, taken.

WPDES PERMIT WI0000957-4 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLAN _T This is to advise the Department that the daily maximum total residual chlorine et' fluent limitation was exceeded at Point Beach Nuclear Plant. The daily maximum' total residual chlorine concentration in the condenser cooling water discharge (outfall 001) was 0.84 mg/l on July 24, 1989. Additionally, the daily maximum total residual chlorine concentration in the condenser cooling water (outfall 001) on July 18, 1989 was 0.42 mg/1, not 0.28 mg/l as previously raported in our July 20, 1989 letter.

We have commenced an investigation into these incidents. When the investigation is completed, a letter will be sent to the Department outlining the results of the investigation and corrective action, if any, which has been, or will be, taken.
