COMANCHE PEAK-STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)
DOCKET N05. 50-445 AND 50-446 DEGRADATION OF CLASS 1E CIRCUITS SDAR: CP-87-85 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On December 23, 1987 TU Electric letter logged TXX-7124 provided notification
'that the deficiency involving the potential degradation of Class IE circuits associated with the Safety System Inoperable Indication (SSII) panel was reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). The. purpose of this supplemental-report is to provide additiona1'information regarding the corrective action implementation schedule.
The most recent letter on this issue, TXX-88236, dated February 17, 1988, provided a corrective action completion schedule of prior to plant heatup for Unit 1.
However, further evaluation identified that the analysis provided at that time requires additional consideration. TU Electric will notify the NRC of all findings, if any, prior to Unit I fuel load.
The Unit 2 schedule is unchanged.
Sincerely.
Willi m J. Cahil1 Jr.
