. OPERATIONS
SUMMARY
-MAY.1989 4
The unit. entered May operating at 100% power producing approximately 880 MWe.
The plant remained at 100% power throughout the month. The unit closed the month producing approximately 870 MWe.
MAJOR SAFETY RELATED MAINTENANCE During May, the.following major maintenance activities were performed on safety-related equipment:
Concentrated Liquid Waste Pump (WDL-P-12B)
Pump WDL-P-12B was removed from service in May to repair a mechanical seal leak. The pumo was repaired and returned to service.
Nuclear Service River Water Strainer (NR-S-1B)
Repairs to Nuclear Service River Water Strainer NR-S-1B drive unit motor were completed in May. The. drive unit tested satisfactorily and the strainer was returned to service.
Makeup System Valve (MU-V-229A)
Makeup Valve MU-V-229A was rep.2cked during the month. The valve tested satisfactorily with no leakage evident and MU-V-229A was returned to service.

1991 is the last refueling discharge which allows full core off-load capacity (177 fuel assemblies).
