This is notification that discharge serial numbers (DSN) lli and 113, j
sewage treatment plant ef fluents, have been eliminated in accordance with j
the engineering report submitted to Clure Winfree on April 29, 1988.
j Sewage is now being routed to the Chattanooga-Moccasin Bend regional l
sewage treatment plant via the sewer connection constructed by the city I
of Soddy Daisy (CGL #88-113).
The connection to the Soddy Daisy sewer was made on January 23.
DSN 111 was deactivated and the sewage was rerouted to the remaining onsite sewage treatment system DSN 112. Since I
there is no longer a discharge from DSNs 111 and 113, we request written approval to cease submission of the discharge monitoring reports and j
monthly operation reports for both systems.

A permit to operate DSNs 111 and 113 as a holding tank / haul system (permit number 88-036) was granted September 30, 1988.
This permit requires that the hold and haul operation be discontinued by l
September 29.
This letter is also notification that the hold and haul j
operation has been discontinued.
There will continue to be a need to periodically remove sludge and scum f rom DSN 112 as part of the normal operation of that treatment system.
These materials are removed by a contractor and hauled to the Chattanooga-Moccasin Bend regional sewer system.
It is our understanding that a permit is not needed for the removal of the scum and sludge f rom DSN 112.
