In response to our July 13 telephone conversation, the following amended route eliminating the high traffic density in the Washington, D.

C.

and' Baltimore, MD is submitted for spent fuel movement approval:

STATE ROUTE Maryl and SR 2 & 4 SR 4 US 301 (to Virginia line)

Virginia US 301 US 17 US 17 (By Pass)

US 17 I-66 I-81 (to Pennsylvania line)

Pennsylvania I-81 New York I-81 (to Canadian line)

The shipment will contain 12. irradiated fuel rods,1 nonfueled rod and an irradiated fuel assembly structure.

The uranium content of the shipment will be transmitted to you next week as this information is currently unavailable from Combustion Engineering.

Your attention to this request is appreciated. If there is any additional information required, please contact Mr. Bob Duncan at this address as I will be out of the office for the next several weeks.
