Gentlemen:

The referenced letter provided a Safety Evaluation Report for Philadelphia Electric Company's (PECo) proposed designs to int)1ement the requirements of 10 CFR 50.62, and requested that the NRC be advised when the systems are installed and checked-out in Limerick Generating Station, Unit 2.

This letter fulfills that request.

PECo has completed Installation and preoperational testing of the systems which provide the functions of alternate rod injection, standby liquid control and the recirculation pump trip for anticipated translents without scram.

I understand this information will be used as input to the Nuclear Regulatory Conmission's Safety Issues Management Systems.
